Bharatpur Bird Sanctaury
The Keoladeo Ghana National Park formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in Rajasthan is famous for conserving varied species of birds. It is one of the world’s finest bird sanctuaries. In the park thousands of colourful birds, rare and endangered birds can be seen. Around 230-40 species of birds are found in this park that attracts the birds’ watchers, travellers and nature lovers from every corner of the world. The park is also known as the “Ornithologists Paradise”. The sanctuary covers an area of approximately 29 sq km, 10 sq km of which comprises of fresh water marshes, shallow lakes and bogs.
Almost one third of the birds found in this park are migratory birds among which visitors can also see the famous migratory Siberian cranes .Now the park is protected and the sanctuary is declared as the national park. It is also the declared world heritage site.Tourists from every corner of the world come here to grab the view of the astonishing birds. Bird watchers and birds researchers come here to study about the habitat and nature of different species of birds. It is the right place for bird watches to view some of the rare species of birds in their natural home. The most commonly spotted birds at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary are Pelicans, Cranes, Eagles, Pipits, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Larks, Shanks, White Ibis, Buntings, Hawks, Wagtails, Marsh Harries, Cormorants, etc. Visitors coming here never fail to capture the pictures of astonishing birds in their camera to enrich their photo gallery.
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is also the home to various species of reptiles. Some of the most common reptiles found in the park are water snakes, Turtle, Tortoise, Rock Pythons, Snails, Frogs, toad, Leeches, Water Hyacinth, Planktons, etc. Rock Pythons can be spotted beyond the Keoladeo temple. Some animals have also inhabited the park such as Sambhar, Chital, Boar and Nilgai.

Bharatpur Government Museum
The museum is located in the centre of the famous Lohagarh Fort. The museum houses the rich collection of archeological wealth and various articles of royal past. In a large number tourists from every corner of the world come here to see the rich collection of royal articles of the museum. The museum displays also displays the sculptures found during the excavation of the old Age.
Bharatpur Palace
Bharatpur Palace is the magnificent building made in the Mughal and the Rajput style. The building displays the architectural magnificence and the richness of Mughal and Rajput style of architecture. The palace houses a museum which has a collection of antique articles, sculptures and weapons dating back to 2nd century.
Lohagarh Fort
Lalgarh fort also known as the Iron Fort was constructed by the Jats rulers. Among all the forts in India Lalgarh Fort is one of the strongest forts built in the Indian history. Despite of the several attacks by the British Government the Lalgarh Fort was invincible. The fort is not that splendor but its strength and magnificence is highly appreciated by tourists coming to visit this unconquered fort.
