Exhibited here are various models of Kathakali, Kathakali classes and ornaments, rare musical instruments, sculptures, models of mohiniyattam and other classical dances, 108 natya Kiranangal (Dance Sings) etc.

Situated 27 Kms north of Kollam, Kottarakkara Kathakali Muse um is the famous museum of this place. Kottarakkara Kathakali Museum here unravels the history of Kathakali. This ancient Museum is the memorial of Kottarakkara Thamburan (King) the father of the Kathakali. In this Museum one can see the ancient models of Kathakali, Ornaments of Kathakali classes, sculpture and rare musical instrument. It is the only museum in Kollam that unravels the ornaments and history of Kathakali.
