Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Places to Visit India. By booking any tour, trek, transport, accommodation, activity, pilgrimage, or travel service through Places to Visit India, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Booking Confirmation
- A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the required advance payment and written confirmation from Places to Visit India.
- All bookings are subject to availability of hotels, transportation, guides, permits, activities, and other travel services.
- Prices are valid only for the dates and services specifically mentioned in the quotation, package, invoice, or booking confirmation.
- Places to Visit India reserves the right to refuse, modify, or cancel any booking in exceptional circumstances.
Hotel Check-In & Check-Out
- Standard hotel check-in time is generally 12:00 PM and check-out time is between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, depending upon the hotel policy.
- Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Accommodation Policy
- Hotel names mentioned in itineraries, quotations, or packages are indicative and subject to availability.
- In case the proposed hotel is unavailable, Places to Visit India reserves the right to provide similar or higher-category accommodation.
- Room allocation, floor preference, room location, and view preference are subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- Unless otherwise specified, package prices are based on standard/base category rooms.
Child Policy
- Children below 5 years of age may stay complimentary without an extra bed, subject to hotel policy.
- Child charges between 5 and 10 years of age and extra bed charges shall be applicable as mentioned in the package quotation.
Travel Documents
- Guests must carry valid government-issued photo identification throughout the journey.
- Identification documents may be required at hotels, airports, railway stations, permit checkpoints, and sightseeing locations.
- For destinations requiring permits, guests must provide all required documents within the prescribed timeline.
- Any losses arising from failure to provide valid documentation shall be borne entirely by the guest.
Itinerary & Sightseeing
- Sightseeing schedules are subject to weather conditions, road conditions, traffic, monument timings, local regulations, and operational circumstances.
- Places to Visit India reserves the right to modify the itinerary when required due to safety concerns, operational reasons, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.
- No refund shall be provided for any unused accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, meals, activities, or services.
- Actual travel times and sightseeing schedules may vary depending on road conditions, traffic, weather, and local circumstances.
Transport & Travel Delays
- Places to Visit India shall not be responsible for delays, cancellations, rescheduling, or disruptions caused by airlines, railways, weather conditions, roadblocks, strikes, political disturbances, government restrictions, or force majeure events.
- Any additional expenses arising from such situations shall be borne by the guest.
Adventure Activities & Treks
- Trekking, camping, wildlife safaris, and adventure activities involve inherent risks.
- Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically fit for participation.
- Places to Visit India reserves the right to deny participation in any activity if a guest's health or safety may be at risk.
- Guests participate in adventure activities at their own risk.
Liability
- Places to Visit India acts only as a facilitator between guests and service providers such as hotels, transport operators, activity providers, airlines, and guides.
- Places to Visit India shall not be liable for any injury, accident, loss, theft, delay, illness, damage, inconvenience, or expenses arising from services provided by third-party vendors.
- Any liability of Places to Visit India shall be limited to the amount paid directly to the company for the specific booking.
Payment Policy
Standard Bookings
- A non-refundable booking amount of 30% of the total package cost is required to confirm the booking.
- The remaining balance amount must be paid on Day 1 of the tour before hotel check-in.
Peak Season & High-Demand Dates
For travel during peak periods, Places to Visit India may require an advance payment of up to 75% of the total package cost at the time of booking confirmation.
Peak periods include but are not limited to:
- New Year Holidays
- Christmas Holidays
- Valentine's Day Period
- Holi Festival
- Diwali Festival
- Peak Summer Vacation Periods
- School Holidays
- Long Weekends
- National Holidays
- Religious Festivals
- Major Events and Fair Periods
The remaining balance, if applicable, must be paid before commencement of services as communicated during booking confirmation.
Last-Minute Bookings
- For bookings made within 7 days of departure, Places to Visit India reserves the right to collect up to 100% advance payment at the time of booking.
Non-Payment
- Failure to make payments within the specified timelines may result in automatic cancellation of the booking without prior notice.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Bookings
- Cancellation more than 30 days before departure: 30% of the total package cost shall be retained.
- Cancellation between 30 and 15 days before departure: 50% of the total package cost shall be retained.
- Cancellation between 14 and 7 days before departure: 75% of the total package cost shall be retained.
- Cancellation within 7 days of departure: 100% cancellation charges shall apply.
Peak Season Bookings
- All bookings made for peak season dates are strictly non-refundable.
- No refund, credit note, rescheduling benefit, or adjustment shall be provided for cancellations during peak periods.
No Refund Policy
The following situations shall be treated as non-refundable and no refund, credit, adjustment, or compensation shall be payable by Places to Visit India.
Peak Season Bookings
- New Year Holidays
- Christmas Holidays
- Valentine's Day Period
- Holi Festival
- Diwali Festival
- Long Weekends
- National Holidays
- Peak Summer Vacations
- Religious Festivals
- Special Events and Fair Periods
No Show
- Failure to arrive at the destination.
- Failure to board flights, trains, buses, or transfers.
- Failure to check into hotels.
- Failure to join the tour after booking confirmation.
Voluntary Tour Withdrawal
- Leaving the tour after commencement for any personal reason.
- Choosing not to participate in any sightseeing, activity, meal, transport service, or accommodation included in the package.
Missed Services
No refund shall be provided for missed services due to:
- Late arrival.
- Personal scheduling conflicts.
- Failure to carry valid identification.
- Failure to obtain required permits.
- Missed transportation connections.
Medical & Personal Reasons
No refund shall be provided for:
- Illness
- Injury
- Pregnancy
- Personal emergencies
- Family emergencies
- Work commitments
- Examination schedules
- Financial constraints
- Visa or documentation issues
Guests are advised to obtain suitable travel insurance.
Weather & Force Majeure Events
No refund shall be provided for disruptions caused by:
- Landslides
- Floods
- Heavy rainfall
- Snowfall
- Earthquakes
- Cyclones
- Road closures
- Political unrest
- Government restrictions
- Curfews
- Airline cancellations
- Railway disruptions
- Pandemics or epidemics
- Any other force majeure event
Any additional expenses incurred due to such situations shall be borne by the guest.
Wildlife & Adventure Activities
- Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed during safaris.
- No refund shall be provided if wildlife is not sighted.
- No refund shall be provided if activities are cancelled, delayed, or modified by local authorities due to weather or safety concerns.
Non-Refundable Components
The following are generally non-refundable once booked:
- Booking amount / advance payment
- Hotel reservations
- Transport reservations
- Flight tickets
- Train tickets
- Forest permits
- Trek permits
- Safari permits
- Monument tickets
- Event tickets
- Activity reservations
Force Majeure
Places to Visit India shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications, interruptions, cancellations, or failure in performance arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Landslides
- Floods
- Earthquakes
- Heavy snowfall
- Cyclones
- Pandemics or epidemics
- Government restrictions
- Political unrest
- Road closures
- Flight cancellations
- Railway disruptions
Any additional costs incurred due to such circumstances shall be borne by the guest.
Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
- Any dispute, claim, complaint, or legal proceeding arising out of bookings, services, payments, cancellations, refunds, or any matter related to Places to Visit India shall be governed by the laws of India.
- The courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes.
- By booking with Places to Visit India, the guest expressly agrees that Jaipur, Rajasthan shall be the sole venue for dispute resolution, arbitration, and legal proceedings.
Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with Places to Visit India, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, Payment Policy, Cancellation Policy, No Refund Policy, and Jurisdiction Clause.
