Samse is the starting point of trekking, where you can find homestays to eat and rest for a night. To reach Samse, either one can travel from Kudremukh or Kalasa. Samse is around 10 km from Kalasa, and public transport is available to travel between these two small towns.

Netravati Peak: This is the most crucial stage of this trek, for which you will exert so much effort. However, the views encountered along the way leave no stone unturned in making this journey memorable for you.

Veernarayana Swamy Temple, Belavadi: Located only 11km from Samse, the temple truly sets an example of phenomenal stone art. As per historical scriptures, Hoysala King Vishnuvardhana defeated the Cholas in 1116 AD and started building the temple as a sign of their victory for the kingdom. The duo of a father (Dasoja) and son (Chavana) are believed to be masters of this excellent craftmanship. It is believed that the construction of this temple took more than a century.
